Get to know co-creators Allie D’Andrea and Nick Berger and their vision behind developing Worn and Weathered.
NICK: Cold with a view.
ALLIE: I love a pale ale. Hoppy, but not too hoppy.
Why did you start Worn & Weathered?
NICK: Truthfully, I wanted to work for myself. Be my own boss. Manage my own time. Build, create, and share my interests. Being creative isn’t my strong suite, however challenge and growth is what I thrive on. Im not one to be stagnant or complacent. We’ve worked really hard to make something unique and here it is! This is just the start, we have big plans for Worn & Weathered!
ALLIE: I wanted to create a community of folks who love to be outdoors, give a damn about conservation, and appreciate every adventure no matter how big or small. For me, Worn and Weathered is so much more than an apparel brand. It is a representation of who we are as hunters, as anglers, as people.
Hunting or fishing bucket list? (top 3)
NICK: Alaskan Caribou, Desert Big Horn, Mahi-Mahi on the fly.
ALLIE: I don’t have one! There are a lot of things I’d like to do, but nothing stands out. My dream hunts are the ones where I have endless terrain to explore.
Hunting or fishing pet peeve?
ALLIE: Careless meat processing
Passion outside of the outdoor world?
NICK: Lifting weights, baseball, and Labrador Retrievers.
ALLIE: Music (I play guitar well below average) and health & fitness
NICK: For me it comes in many forms. Sometimes interactions with interesting people, and other times it’s much more broad such as a certain town or city, experiences i’ve had in the woods, self reflection, and goal setting.
ALLIE: I have this inner drive to work and create. It comes from my Pap pap (my dad’s dad). He is well into his 80’s and still works on building his business every day.
Favorite mountain snack?
NICK: Fresh back straps on the fire.
ALLIE: Dried mangos. And dried dates on occasion. I’m a fruit person.
Favorite river snack?
ALLIE: I second Nick, beer.
